Orders

How do I contact Verdant about my order?
You can contact me to ask questions about your order. Please include your order number in the message.

You’ll most likely hear back from me during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Rest assured, I'll be in touch as soon as possible.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards through Stripe. You can also use Apple Pay at checkout.

Can I modify or cancel my order?
Once an order is placed, it cannot be modified or canceled. However, if you notice an issue, contact me immediately, and I'll do my best to help.

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
I take great care in packaging orders. If the error is mine, I will correct it at no cost. Please reach out within 7 days of receiving your order.

Unfortunately, I cannot be responsible for damage caused during shipping. If your package arrives damaged, please file a claim with USPS.

Shipping

How will my order be shipped?
I ship within the United States (including U.S. Territories). If you’re located outside the U.S. and would like an order shipped to you, please send me a note—I'm open to working something out, especially for Canada, Mexico, or the EU.

For orders under $30:

  • A flat rate of $5.00 applies for addresses in the contiguous 48 states (via USPS Ground Advantage).
  • A flat rate of $15.00 applies for addresses in Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories, and the Military APO/FPO (via USPS Priority Mail)

For orders over $30:

  • Enjoy free standard shipping for addresses in the contiguous 48 states (via USPS Ground Advantage).
  • Please note that orders to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories, and the Military APO/FPO will continue to incur a flat rate of $15.00 due to higher shipping costs.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders ship on Mondays and Thursdays. If a shipping day falls on a postal holiday, your order will ship the next business day. You'll receive an email with a tracking number when your order is shipped.

Delivery typically takes 2–10 business days, depending on your location. Orders ship from Columbia, Maryland.

What if my package is lost in transit?
Once an order is shipped, Verdant is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. If your package is missing, please get in touch with USPS directly with your tracking number for assistance.

Returns

What is your return or exchange policy?
Returns are accepted on unopened and unused products within 30 days of purchase. Once the item is received in its original condition, refunds will be issued back to the original form of payment.

Shipping costs are non-refundable, and customers are responsible for return shipping. At this time, I am unable to offer exchanges.

Soap

How can I make my Verdant soap last longer?
Use a soap dish that allows for proper drainage to keep your bar dry between uses.

What is the shelf life of handmade soap?
For the best experience, use handmade soap within one year of purchase. Essential oils are delicate, and their potency can fade when exposed to air. Store unopened soap in a cool, dry, dark place to help preserve fragrance.

Are your soaps vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. All of our soaps are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. We never test on animals, use animal-derived ingredients, or purchase from suppliers with dubious testing practices. Please refer to each soap's product page for a complete list of ingredients.

Do you use synthetic fragrances or preservatives?
No. We use only essential oils and follow safe skin contact guidelines. Our soaps contain no artificial fragrances, dyes, or preservatives. Please refer to each soap's product page for a complete list of ingredients.

Is your soap safe for sensitive skin, pregnancy, or children?
Our soaps are made with gentle, natural ingredients, but everyone's skin differs. We recommend doing a patch test before full use if you have sensitive skin. Verdant soap contains 3% or less of essential oils. Some women prefer to avoid essential oils during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or have young children, we always recommend checking with your health practitioner.

How often do you restock products?
Our soaps are handmade in small batches; they require at least six weeks of cure time. We typically restock every 6–8 weeks.

Do you offer custom orders or gift sets?
Currently, we do not offer custom and wholesale orders or gift sets.
